As a junior controller, you will work in a finance team with three colleagues: the financial employee, the finance manager, and the CFO. Due to overseas growth, the financial administration is becoming increasingly complex, which is why the finance department is now being set up in-house. You will mainly work with the financial employee, and together you will be the operational core of the organization. Hybrid working is possible, but in the first few weeks, you will need to be present in the office to ensure a smooth handover with the accounting firm. Do terms like transactions, process monitoring, order to cash, and purchase to pay appeal to you? Then these will be your responsibilities:

This company has grown from a ceramics store on Amsterdam's Herenstraat to an internationally extroverted, colorful, and expressive interior brand. The studio designs accessories, furniture, lighting, and tableware, among other things. Craftsmanship is paramount, wrapped in contemporary creative Dutch design. The iconic eyecatchers are sold worldwide in more than 65 countries at leading concept stores, platforms, and department stores such as De Bijenkorf, Selfridges, and Farfetch. Your brand-new workplace has been located behind the brand store in the Jordaan since last year, surrounding you with all the bold creations.

- Financial Administration: Processing purchase and sales invoices, recording bank and cash transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing and executing payments
- Accounts receivable and payable management
- Monthly, quarterly, and yearly closures and balance specifications
- Assisting with (international) VAT returns and tax matters
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports, budgets, (cost) analyses, or preparatory work towards margins or price overviews

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
- A completed HBO/WO education in finance & control, business economics, or accountancy, and some experience in financial internships, side jobs, or as a working student is a plus
- Excel holds no secrets for you, and if you have worked with Exact, that is an advantage
- The company is located in the Jordaan, so you should be willing to travel to the office by public transport, bicycle, or scooter
