Award-winning designer Pascal Smelik is fascinated by the concept of deformity. The Drip Candle Holder began with wax left behind by a dripping candle. Dip after dip after dip. The Drip Candle Holder refuses to be moulded. Quite literally. While the recycled aluminium is still hot, it is shaped by hand. Only a small number of makers have mastered this technique. Dip. Dry. Dip. Repeat. The Drip goes through six separate nickel and/or gold baths, creating a rich colour and durable finish, to avoid oxidation. • Made from recycled aluminium. • Cast in a mold, then shaped and refined by hand. • Every piece is unique. • Designed by Pascal Smelik No two Drips behave quite the same. Mix sizes. Mix finishes. Let them gather around the table.
