When Rijksmuseum invited us to collaborate, it wasn’t for more blue and white. It was for colour.

The museum’s exhibition 'At home in the 17th Century' paints a vivid picture of domestic life: layered, lively and full of unexpected hues. One object in particular, the Madonna Plate, glowing with greens, ochres and oranges, lit the spark. We embraced that ‘Majolica’ palette with open arms.
