For Hanari, Roderick Vos was inspired by the simplicity of Scandinavian glass storage jars from the 1950s. He joined two contrasting geometric shapes into one seamless, sculptural whole. Clean-lined. Big in character. Glass under pressure. The Hanari Vases and Side Table are mouth-blown from solid coloured glass. That may sound light. It is anything but. The glass is glowing hot. And heavy. Shaping it requires strength, control and perfect timing. Strong enough to make. Fragile enough to respect. (voor de side table copy alleen) The Hanari Side Table is made entirely of glass. Beautifully solid, but inherently fragile. Handle with care. And give it the space it deserves. And remember: it’s a side table, not a stool. Your coffee can sit there.
